One of our partners in the event world often makes the following point about working in the event business - "Once a date is set for your event, the clock starts ticking. And whether you are ready or not, the event will take place on that day. Get to work!"
This is our reality at SportsBR, day in and day out. For the 20th year in a row, we hosted the Mardi Gras Mambo 10k, 15k and Fun Run presented by Core Power on February 17. And once again the race was a great success, thanks to all of our awesome participants, sponsors, volunteers and partners, especially our production partner, FRESHJUNKIE Racing. Check out this great photo gallery compliments of The Advocate or login to the Mambo Facebook Page to see more pictures from the Mambo.
We're also off and running, literally, into track & field here in 2018. Our friends at United Southern Express Track Club hosted over 800 youth athletes on Saturday, February 24 in the Maddox Fieldhouse at LSU to finish up the indoor season here in Baton Rouge. And the SportsBR Developmental Track Program starts in two weeks at Istrouma High School. Our three developmental track meets are free to the public for all kids 14 and under and no experience is necessary.
Ready or Not! The rest of the spring schedule is upon us and we're excited for all the baseball, tennis, soccer and all of our other events in the coming months. Stay up to date with all things SportsBR by liking us on Facebook and following us on Instagram!
