Sports BR Events
We work with local sports coordinators to find and execute opportunities to create recreational and competitive events for the greater Baton Rouge area as well as athletic travelers.
SportsBR owns and operates the following events in line with this local commitment:
Since 1999, SportsBR has produced the Mardi Gras Mambo 10k & 15k. The event has grown to over 2,600 runners in recent years and is one of the best 10k/15k races in the region. Learn more about the Mambo by visiting www.runmambo.com.
Held annually since 2012, the Battlefield Cross Country Festival presented by the Louisiana Marathon hosts over 50 schools and 1,000 athletes from around Louisiana for a celebration of cross country running every September. The event is held at the Port Hudson State Historic Site, the stage for Civil War siege that also was the longest battle in U.S. history. Click here to visit the Battlefield Cross Country Website.
SportsBR is proud to bring the BRelay One Mile race back to Healthy BR's Family Fit Day on May 20, 2017 at City Park. This fun-filled, active day is great for the whole family to get out and learn more about active lifestyles and activities. Click here to stay up to date with Healthy BR via Facebook.
SportsBR in conjunction with our local sports coordinators, venues and tourism partners host over 50 events in the Baton Rouge area each year. Click here to check out the complete event calendar.
